Our Story
This is me, Chris with my adorable and very funny rescue dog, Freddie. Freddie carries out the very impawtent job of Quality Control checks for all our doggy treats in our Paws For Thought shop.
Paws For Thought was opened in February 2022 as the retail premises for Freddies Friends Foundation CIC, (Community Interest Company), which was set up in 2021 with the sole purpose of raising funds and awareness for animal rescue shelters and conservation projects in Cornwall, the UK and around the World.
Where does Freddies Friend's Foundation fit in?
Freddies Friends Foundation is the company name. It was formed as a Community Interest Company, (CIC), in 2021. However, we didn't want the word 'Foundation' to suggest that we are a charity and so the shop in Launceston is called Paws For Thought.

The difference between a CIC company and regular Limited business is that you declare to HMRC the purpose you intend to invest your profits towards. In our instance, our profits, (proceeds), are distributed entirely among pet and animal rescues charities. We do not have staff wages, run an expensive car, have fancy offices or even a landline telephone. Operational costs are kept to an absolute minimum to ensure we can donate as much as possible.

Funding to set up the company, the shop in Launceston and this online website has come from the personal savings of Chris who as much as possible, will continue to invest in the growth of the Foundation so we can support as many animal rescue shelters as possible.
